Made an error of judgment this week.
Bang up to date on Friday, just 3 overdues I wanted to put in for this week.
Didnt work Monday as I would have been 1 day under, a 4 week cycle, and people do note this and comment. [Some put it in their diaries}
So I Intended to do a big day yesterday, but son was ill and I had to stay at home with him, as missus needs to give advance warning for time off.
Great day yesterday no rain. Now today its raining on and off. tomorrow looks worse, and Friday showers. So by end of week i'l be a week behind and stacked up again.
You can allways easily go behind in this job, but never in advance. {Perils of the job I guess}
With hindsight I should have just cracked on early on Monday, and explained about the pending poor weather to those who commented.
Wont make this mistake again.
Yours bored and frustrated John.

its pants isnt it! my plan is too ask my worker if he wants to work an hour to an hour and a half later each day, then if it hasnt rained all week finish early on fri by the amount of time extra weve done, or stay on and pay over time.

work on a 4 week cycle always go 4 week later never move foreward a week but if cleaned on fri last time can get away with wed this time ,or wed last time tue this time, 2 week cycle can move day forward but never into the earlier week ;D

Most of my work is 4 weekly, but I nearly always take 5 weeks to get round, nobody cares, nobody ever mentions it.
It's my recession insurance.

if late roll it back to due date, charge 13 cleans a clean and break it down to them this way, aprrox every 4 weeks, 13 cleans a year, problem solved

They are due when I get round to them, no matter how long it takes. I can't do all of them in 4 weeks unless I work 6 days.

A couple off weeks ago i had a couple of days off as i ran out of work for the first time in 4 years.
Now im a 3 days behind again as its been really windy here mostly this week and rain today and some yesterday.
Tuesday was not to bad though.

Thats what I meant you can get up to date, but never in front, only behind.
So you loose money all the time.
You can go get extra work, but if your full this causes more problems.

I pinch the odd day or two here and there, no-one seems bothered by it.
I might pinch a week on a 12 weekly!
usually I have enouh work to last me, but going hot 6 months ago has speeded me up so I get litle gaps here and there.
the nice thing is you get to choose wether to go knocking, do some jobs of the to-do list, or have a day off :D
