Title: Pure Water blamed for yellow grass.
Post by: geefree on March 24, 2009, 09:16:35 pm
Can you believe , a guy came out to me today,

He asked me what i put in the water.... i said, nothing, its filtered, and simply made pure.

He said ," look at that patch of yellow grass at the driveway side of the lawn....my wife has blamed me for this, and its your water"

I Laughed and explained there are no chemicals at all in the water, and i took him to my van to show him the ro-system, and told him how it works....and told him no way would i put chemicals in the water which could be harmful to plants or pets....and,.....if i did.....i would not be in business very long.....etc.......and its filtered ...thats all.

he grunted , ok right....lad ok ....ok ok........" carry on cleaning"

now i know di resin is toxic...but i dont know enough about it to comment...... but i have never used resin at all.

anyway.......

So i packed up and drove off.

 ;D

Pure water is often used in Horticulture to aid the plants growth.
More liklely a dog uses the same patch.

Maybe he washes the car there and the soapy water did this. So he's trying to transfer the blame to you!

Hi
We used RO water through a resin filter for filling a leaking fish pond for a few months over winter and the fish were fine. RO-man advertised a while back that the resin they sell is approved by the American FDA. I have always used this as I have a customer who has a large fish pond next the the front of his house and conservatory and was very particular about our equipment and water because of his prized Koi fish.
Never had any complaint about the water killing plants under the windows of any of our customers in the 3 years we have had WFP either.

pure water soaks up minerals like a sponge, is it possible that the pure water is washing away nutrients from the soil around the grass. Plants get sick and yellow if they dont get the right minerals.

So do we so its not a good idea to drink too much pure water. just a thought.
