Title: Cleaning Contracts
Post by: Mepco UK on April 07, 2005, 01:39:20 pm
Dear All

As a relative newbie to this business  I am very grateful to all the contributors to this site for the wealth of knowledge you are willing to share with newbies like myself.

I have trawled through the archives to find a solution to my question with no luck and as a last resort hope that someone on here would be so kind as to give me some pointers.

We have recently been invited to quote for a large cleaning contract,  cleaning a residential building (student accomod) for a local College, this involves cleaning only communal areas which includes reception, laundry, kitchen, showers and toilets. I have conducted several site visits and know roughly what the job entails and how much to price but I am lost when it comes to actually structuring a quote/tender. Please can someone send me a sample quotation/tender so that I can get a general understanding of what kind of information they require and the general layout required.

They have asked for H&S aswell as COSHH certificates, I would really appreciate any help. ???

Regards
Jaz

I really appreciate the PM but I am solely looking for guidance on what to include and the format. I have already prepared something but need to ensure that it is not too basic.

Did I miss something here, I wasn’t aware this was a condition to getting help.

Thanks Dave I actually now know there is  another contract going in an area which I already work. I now also have a breadcrumb trail to follow. I owe you a beer.

This filling in your profile bit really works, (just not sure for who).

Jaz don’t worry I shall not be trying to follow this up but I cant speak for others. If you still require help let me know via a PM without anymore detail of the actual job.
Regards
DP

Hi DP

Did you get my PM?

Yes
And have sent you a long reply, hope it helps, best keep the rest to PM's, as this "have sent you PM” stuff can get really annoying for other people to read.

Ok,  ill take it that the information was really helpful and you got the contract and to celebrate you decided to take a holiday in the Bahamas and because it was so nice you decided to give up all this cleaning lark and become a beach bum!!!!

Good for you, now where was that contract again?   :)

I take it that means you haven't even had a 'thanks' since helping this individual.

Ohhh how rude some people can be!   :o :o

Sorry DP

Your help was much appreciated but I am still trawling the internet looking for further info.  Ps. the ticket to Bahamas is on ice for the moment.

Fox. in answer to your PM - no I didn't work for Ealing or Uxbridge council......and I thought this was a cleaning not a fish wives   ;) forum so I would appreciate if you kept these kind of comments to yourself.

DP I hope I can repay your help at some point as you seem to be one of the decent few on here, should've seen the no. of PM's I got trying to find out more about the contract.... ;D

Ohhhh - throw your dolly out the pram why don't you!  :P

It was a straight forward question not a comment, because someone else on here thought they knew you and told me some stories, I didn't like to just assume that this person was you, as the story wasn't very nice.  So I thought I would ask the question for benefit of doubt.

Maybe it's true then!  ;)
