only used the pole on odd awkard con jobs, dont really get a good job with them, probley just me,but on top of work at moment so no point taking risks, otherwise with sun now coming out might give it a go  ;D

stan I had loads of problems with pole when I started and found it difficult to get used to but, after some experience I would say the trick is to one have a range of squeegee sizes for narrow pains, and use a zero degree channel for low level work, then angled for second floor, to get the right angle. Definately worth practicing more if you ever do get behind.

how do you leads, and narrow ones? with a squeegee on pole - that is what you mean isnt it, as a pose to wfp?

But yeah its windy here too stan, i did some this morning and it was just hard work, and then it started throwing it down so i headed back for dinner and although it is sunny and bright now its still blowing a gale, and dont fancy starting again, might stay off only got 4 days this week anyway but means working friday now instead :(

This is the type of day that worries me about emplying, surely even with wfp its harder to hit targets on a day like today? especially on domestic,, be interesting to hear from employers?

I seen a van with 2 lads parked up outside a big job i quoted for last year and it was sat there for 2 hours while they just read their papers, and ate bacon butties, glad im not their boss!!

I asked em how long it took to do the building and how they do it :) Will win that quote next year now haha, one of the lads was the son of the bloke that owned the firm too, poor dad :)

Anyway , can you tell im bored, going on with myself

you can get squeegees as narrow as 5 inch, and for leaded take a scrim folded and put on an unger clamp. Wet the window, squeegee to take off most of the water, then use your clamp to buff it dry, it will come up a treat. They do take a bit longer if you do it like this, but better than not working at all.

The weather is wierd at the minute her, one minute its sunny and fine, then its stormy gales.

A little bit whooshy down here. I always find the main problem is the gear drying on the glass before I get the chance to blade it off...Oh! I suppose clinging onto 1st floor window sills can be a bit of a problem too ;D

It really started to blow when I was up the ladder today. It started to feel unsafe, so happy to pack up a little early.

Indoors almost all day doing the communal stairwells of a block of flats I do :D

Went out on the top floor balconies and it was mighty windy, have to climb over a wall between two and it's a bit near the edge, perfectly safe but you can see all the way doooowwwnn.
'Mind my plant pots' says the old bloke,
'Oh yes' I said 'They really are my primary concern, I am really very worried about THEM' he chuckled, not a bad old geezer.
