Hi all
Just looking for a nod in the right direction.
My business is mostly window cleaning and office cleaning, although I do get asked to clean carpets at least once a week (which Im knocking back at the moment).
Can someone recomend me a carpet cleaner that isnt too expencive, taking into consideration that It will only be used to clean 1 or 2 carpets a week?
-
Well my minimum charge is £45. I'm a good "Carpet cleaner" and cleaning 1 or 2 carpets a week is no problem because I take my Cod liver oil tabs for my arthritic knee.
mrdave... If all you're cleaning is "1 or 2 carpets a week" I would humbly suggest that you pass on the work to a reputable cc in your area. That way you'll know the jobs' done properly. Believe me there is a lot more to cleaning soft furnishings than meets the eye.

Why don't you look at what I'm selling in the for sale section? ;D ;D ;D
It is on ebay for sale by me "fishingnuts007"

Best advice tonight Will,
Dave by the time you have invested 2 grand in all the gear you need,
You'd be looking at 12 monthe to break even.
Its a NO BRAINER :-\

I'd take Gerry up on his offer. With a 'cheap' single vac machine without training you may get away with it for a little while but something will bite you. I'm sure you could work a deal between you and he may even be kind enough to let you observe whilst he works?
As Dave said a minimum of 2 grand for descent kit, training on top and lots of info to take on board for just a couple of jobs a week does not seem worth the investment.
Good luck

Is that your extracta ???

Hi Colin
Can I enquire if you're updating to an alternative machine ? I too am looking for a new bit of kit and am wondering (amongst all of the options) what might be a well researched and popular buy. I guess all the latest CFM/PSI/"Lift etc etc is quite a challenge to the prudent purchaser wanting to make the optimum choice.

Pete, no, I am not updating I just don't have the space for 2 of the same machine.... The exel's an easy machine to work on/maintain and I'm better off keeping spares on the shelf. I am looking into the new Alltec in the future though....
Clinton, yes it is my machine on fleabay...
