When do you replace them? Mine are two years old and used to get tds of 6 now producing tds of 16. Is it time to change?

when you are paying too more than you want for the resin

though at 016 its still good for a while

Do you flush them regular?
Have you changed your pre filters lately?
Mine are 2 1/2 years old and still producing 4tds

cant get one of my pre filters off it wont budge for toffee.
Any ideas

have you got the proper housing tool to remove it?

brute force 
if you put a scrim ,push it over the tool ,then try  it

hopefully it will sort it

Pour hot water on them it expand the outer case and bingo! they should come off.

90 quid is a fair whack of resin at 016 TDS

I use a chain-wrench - the ones for removing oilfilters on cars.

thought about that one,  will give it a try.  just wanna make sure i'm doing it right. which way to tighten and which way to loosen?  They all tighten and loose the same way?

Just for reference. How to tube up the membranes.
Looking from left to right, The left with the screw top and in feed.  The right side the lower is waste and upper is pure? Is this correct?
