Local printers are offering advertsing space on a leaflet, quarter, half or full page A5 advert along with other businesses; designed, printed and distributed to 5000 local homes. Price obviously depends on the advert size.
Wondered if anyone has tried these? Do you think they work?
I'm pretty sure it would be delivered with other material. And if other people are anything like me it all gets dumped in the recycling bin.

sounds like a very small version of the free add directories i advertise in, these are a5 but a colour booklet with about 100 or so businesses in, i get good work from them.

I get a fair amount of work from our "Local Pages" too. I might go for a full page next time round ;D

as far as i'm concerned if it sounds cotia,(unlike these ambulance or fire station ones, oh! and today i had a micheal caine charity one ;D) and 1 job gets you your money back then its worth trying, just make sure you monitor your calls so you know if its worked.

Don't think its a local advertsing directory, I currently advertise in one like you described Derek, not been good response of late so was thinking of stopping it.
I ask every custy where they've seen us advertised as a matter of course.
This sounds like the local printer has decided to sell advertsing space on a single double sided leaflet, maybe hes not getting enough business from pure leaflets sales.

my local directories have been cwap jan and feb but starting to come back to life again, i believe that if theres work out there then directories will help towards it, if things are bad like jan and feb were, then nothing works.
something to think about when advertising, sounds daft but always try new forms of advertising when work is good so you can see there potential.
does that make sense?
