Hi everyone,
Alltec have today produced their first triple vac machine and they will be showing this model at the carpet cleaners day out on 6th April.
Its specification is:
3 x 3 stage vacs
600 psi pump
3 kw heater
2" port
the machine will run on 3 power leads, the 3rd of which will need to be plugged
in on separate ring main, i.e. upstairs
price £2,500 inc vat (machine only)
Today I have placed my order for the second one! :D This will be ready in two weeks time.
regards rob

Go buy yourself a weights bench as youll need strong arms and back to lift that.
Is it fibreglass or plastic.
Im sure it will win in the beauty stakes as the scorpian is one ugly machine.

-
Core splash the cash!
You do know that white fivers aren't in circulation anymore?
Who had the first one?
Shaun
-
I aim to have the machine by the Christmas rush or sooner ;D You must let us know how it goes... The 3 lead is a bit of a pain, but as long as at least one of the leads is long enough, it should be fine....
One question did pop up in my mind though, what if your working in a bungalow? ;D
-
Is it 3 cables for sure?
Shaun
-
We bought a twin vacuumed Advance a few weeks back and have been really impressed, both by the machine and support.
With the extra vac you will have to be careful not to swallow custy's carpets, pets and other unsecured items!
Do you all think the Scorpion will stay cold water only or maybe work on being able to offer the option of built in heat (even if just from the marketing perspective)?
Just asking so please don't shoot me down :-)
-
The Scorpion can be bespoken to include a built-in heater.
-
How hot will the water heater go ?
Most high pressure water pumps cant handle more than 50 ?
Ashbys 400psi ninja is set at 50 max.
regards
Chris
ps how much for the scorpion rob ;)
-
Three leads, 1= 2 vacs
2=1 vac +pump
3= 3kw Heater
Bungalow, kitchen on one ring and rest on a second ring.
Make me an offer Chris, ;D

Robert
You have got yourself a good set up mate :)
With a good back up as well i can see this being a big seller and myself might be on the waiting list ;)
The power leads will take getting used to ???
-
It'll be like having a dog walking service with all of them leads, remember when playing with a heater to have plenty of rubber plugs, fuses and screw drivers on the van, circuit breakers are good but sometimes they are more hassle then what they are worth.
Shaun
-
Your right shaun its pushing the limits for the circuits ???
-
You can't win!
I'd put it on the van and use it like a TM, just need a water tank to keep it filled up wouldn't worry about dirty tank I'd just empty that when it gets full and it'll keep space in the van and weight down.
Definately get 2" thick pipe as that is the best thing and a 2" wand as drying times half.
Shaun
-
Thought might be a 1 and half extension hose at the end maybe and stick to 1half 2 bore wand?
There again it will just take time getting used to like the quad(millennium)
Right on the t mount and just dump the water as you go :)
-
Because of the body construction it will hold heat (like a thermos),so heat water during pre- vac/spray/agitate and then turn heater off.
My Aqua 40 holds heat, same construction.
Regards Rob
-
I have a 2" wand and a 1.5" and the 2" out dries the other by far and for no extra work, wouldn't use a whip although 2" takes some getting used to at first, I know have 2.5" on my TM and sometimes the carpet feels dry as I'm cleaning it.
Shaun
-
That's a good idea unless you do long hose runs, you'd need serious heat like the top of my missus head at the moment! "you're going violet , Violet!"
Shaun
-
;D
-
Robert
Your right on the keeping the heat also you ahve a little lid dont you on the alltec to cover the clean water tank ???
Shaun
Your right Think i would go for the 2" upgrade too to help drying times :)
-
All sounds very impressive and keep us up to date on the machine will be interesting to know how yo get on with power source and tripping rcds on 3 vacs but i suppose if you had too you could run off 2 with no probs. whats the weight of the machine must way a ton
-
Robert
Are you getting the 2" hoses and wand to go with it ???
-
Already have 100 feet of 2" hose and 1.75" 4 jet westpac wand with hybrid glide.
Rob
-
Robert
The perfect combo mate no point in running it with 1 and half inch :)
Good luck mate and think its going to be the best selling portie soon ???
-
What's the viability of having a generator for situations where trips are hyper sensitive ...........what output would you need to run the heater ( the most likely cause of tripping )
-
Robert I thought you were happy with Scorpion
What is the Advantage of this machine.
I do not think I would want and for that matter customers want cable running upstairs and downstairs
-
If it gets better results, I hardly think the customer would care about cables running up and down stairs.
I'd be interested to see what replies the question about a generator produce!
-
Colin
Logic tells me (and I may be wrong) that if it is a 3kw heater then it will require a 3kw (kva) minimum genny.
2kx - 2kw min..
Couple hundred quid for a decent one?
-
1 cable would be runing upstairs.
There are other machines that have 2 leads and when you put a vac booster on that makes it up to 3 or even an heater exchanger :)
-
I know the gutter vac can run on a genny 6.5 i think and will run the vacuum, wouldnt want to go down that way mind you ???
-
I have been running portables with 3 electrical leads for the past 5 years. I haven't had a problem yet so I am not sure what all the fuss is about ???
Nigel
-
Ocasionally my Powrflite pfx1350 trips the elecs out when I'm using it with the extra lead for the built in heater.
Would this problem be cured by plugging the 2 leasds in seperate loops as stated above?
Cheers

Probably..

Hi Guys
I remember talking to Alltec about this last year, they seem to have responded quickly to the 3 Vac imports.
It is good to see a British made machine competing.
Paul, Yes it should help as should using the Cooker socket I believe.
Cheers
Doug

Dont forget Alltec did do the Millenium 4 vac portable some years ago, not that it was that portable, but they do have experience with multi vac machines.
Dave.
-
I don't think Alltec have ever made a poor machine. As everyone knows, they GRP casing with aluminium base makes for a heavy unit, but my experience is that they are durable and perform well.
I was impressed with the twin vac Advance, so this new triple vac unit should be excellent.
Safe and happy cleaning :)
Ken
-
wonder where it will end?
2020, the new 28 vac
2 leads down stairs
1 up stairs and another next door ;D
derek
-
;D
-
The quad was a monster and never had a prob with tripping the circuit ???
Have always used alltecs and they are really built to last :)
They do another that stays on board or towed with a 90 litre water tank for the caravan cleaning market etc.
Think there is one in canada has 4 and 5 vacs ::)
-
im a bit suprised they are coming to the CCDO
I thought it was organised by carpet clearners For carpet cleaners
i hope its not going to turn into suppliers there as an altenative to not going to the cleaning show
last year was excellent and hope its not going to turn onto a sales show
your thoughts anyone!
-
Shut up Colin you peasant!
Suppliers are just showing not doing talks.
Shaun
-
just showing up -its in these peoples blood to squeeze as much out of you as possible
you should know after beating me into bying that rotary machine off of you last year
and you are only a carpet cleaner
think man , they lull you into a false sence and then POUNCE like leopards after their pray
hope the foods as good as last year!!!!!
see you there
-
you could be right Colin there is only one way into the pavillion and thats got a gate on it. :-\
-
Moan moan bloody moan!
First you lot moan that a scorpion is no good because it hasn't got heat and then you moan that the Alltec needs 3 sockets because it has heat!!
Colin apparently the Pavillion are making your special 'a poor bird' Peasant Pheasant ;D
Shaun
-
To run a portable with a generator you need a big generator more so for the start up load. I tried it with a 5kw gen and it kept shuting down.
Also for that size and cost you would have a TM.
Mark
-
Lets go back to the old single vac ;D
-
Why not CFR did with there monster Speaking of which I have one here FREE to a good home. I thought of pushing this down to the London arches to cardboard city, I tell you this is big enough for somone to live in ;D
-
Dave is it ok to give you a bell tomorrow.
Thanks Tony
-
I take your looking for a New Home! or are you going to use this for a weekend retreat?
-
;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
-
Heard the delivery times are good on the new set up a week or less :)
-
Are you getting one Clinton? If I had the ready cash I'd have one on order!
-
Hi collin
Am going to upgrade this yr to t mount but want a new portable too as only have 1 now having sold the other 2 so going to get that or the scorpion least i will have the 2"hoses for when i do upgrade :)
Would have got the ashbys but didnt like the salesman :( And when your spending 3 n half grand you expect better ???
-
You make a good point about the 2" hoses, I will upgrade to the Alltec 3 Vac towards the end of the year, then when things really start looking up, I'm going for the TM.... Well that's the new plan!
-
Sort of foward thinking ;D
Ye i will prob go for the prowler as has no waste tank to carry away which is good.
You dont have to rush mate and your doing the right thing in offering other services as getting jus new c cleaning clients is hard ???
-
I'm awaiting 10k leaflets from DP as I haven't been actively advertising for a while (Naughty!) But the work's been coming in.... Some via YP too :-X
-
Thats good then collin if your getting work and little outlay :)
-
there are some other manufac developing 3 vac machines so if i was looking i wold be patient for couple of months and watch this space.
-
What i likie about the allet is the quality build and the delivery time as the scorpion was a long waiting time ???
The ashbys have had a vac booster for many years giving it 3 vacs ???
-
Hi Guys
Alltec are a good company to deal with and the guys are helpful.
Their machines are British built , whereas a lot of others are American imports which means supply/possible parts problems .
The problem with any new machine is that it is new and you will to a certain extent be a 'tester', it will be interesting to see the machine in a couple of weeks time.
Cheers
