It will last a few years if regenerated  with salt after every fill depending on the tank size,I have a 500 litre Pure Freedom system and had to run the water through the softening resin with salt every day or two depending on my usage of water,in the end I got sick of doing this and now fill from my static instead! ;D ;D ;D ;)
