Quickly wipe the wall down after a hose spit (throws out a lot of back stuff)

Gav

Just over a year ago i cleaned a church carpet, you know the red one down the middle, (yes i do know the name but i cant spell it!!) a young lad whom i had helping me spilt some plain cold water on it and it took the colour right out, ??? also i had to remove candle wax and went in to it with the iron to hot :o as it was a nylon carpet it cooked the top of the fibres :o  after many minutes scratching my head, the main man from above came to me and said "IAN, go and buy some red spray paint and some bic's Razors!!" As it was the man himself talking, i wasted no time, came back and used the bic razor to shave off the burnt fibres, and they went, good as new:) When the wet patch on the carpet had dried i spray painted it red, and you know what!! that went too :D This year i got called out again to do the job, as they was so pleased with the job that i had done last year ;D ;D
They do say that he moves in mysterious ways ;)

When moving a side cabinet, the top part fell off and took off a bit of the stain, luckily I found some wood stain, in their garage and touched up the wood.

I placed a closed bottle of ecospotter on my quote pad on top of a reception desk.  The bottle had been in the van during a chilly night and the warmth of the reception must have created pressure build up, so whilst I measured up, the now dripping bottle went unnoticed.  On discovery I moved everything away from the reception desk and blotted the desktop prior to the building manager arriving.

To me it was a glaring mark which might as well have had a flashing light on it, but the office manager didn't notice it so I walked.

I still feel bad about it.

I did a ladies felt back carpet.
whilst spraying it I noticed that nothing was happening but I carried on regardless, then water started appearing all over the carpet.
I then noticed the drain valve was open so not sucking the water back ,so I’d flooded her carpet I shut the valve and hurriedly did several drying passes,   Best that carpet had ever looked   ;D ;D ;D

ps never rippled one bit

Cheryl , that is an interesting point you made and something I have noticed with Eco-spotter, if the trgger sprayer is connected but not tightly screwed shut it builds up pressure and empties itself.
Has anyone else noticed same?
Mike .

Whilst packing up my gear from a job, i noticed a tear in the wallpaper where my hoses had been fed up the stairs. Not 100% sure if it was caused by me or not, but took the view that it probably was!

Anyway, not having any wallpaper adhesive to hand i popped into the bathroom as if to m/t my bucket and "nicked" a bit of toothpaste... GUMMED the wallpaper down a treat!

Funny minty smell in the hall though......... hopefully lady of the house did not pick up any suspicious SIGNALS!....would'nt have liked her to get her TEETH into me.

once knocked a small ceramic watering can off the end off a radiator shelf and knocked the spout off. rummaged around and found some tippex and voila a great job. my mate knocked a large tv off its stand completely cracking it. he had to stump up £500 pound.

Admit your fault to the customer, better them know what has happened than finding out later, that is when the Proverbial hits the Fan !!
