Hi guys,
Ive got another 2 cladding jobs next week,
I had a nightmare on the last one using WFP,
Can cladding be pressure washed using a big 24ft lance or is it risky?
Am I best sticking to WFP?
Also has it got to be pure water used for the clean if WFPing?
Thanks for any help on this.

Depends what state it is in. We have a turbo nozzle on a 7 metre lance and have cleaned quite a few cladding jobs with this set up but if they are marked orweathered then more often than not we have had to hand clean them first and then rinse them off with the pressure washer.
If you are wfping the clean there is no need to use pure water.

I will add to pressure wash at that height all day is very, very hard and you will be worn out!! but it will help with your mission to get fit.

Thanks for that Rob.

If you want me to do them I will organise it but could do with a look at them first, give you some idea on what it will cost. Have to say though, depending on the height they might need a picker, we can work them together. Let me know

i find best way is to put tfr on with a foam lance[ a small 8 inch one can be bought that attaches to pole] then brush soap in with a brush and pole and then finally rinse of with turbo nozzle, it is very quick and large areas can be covered it is much faster than wfp.
i will send you acouple of pictures i did have a video of it being done but cant find it.

Ive got a backpack with a brass 2 foot handle that we extend, not used it in a while but if youve got a team brushing it in in front it does make it easier.
Good tip

Thanks Rob
oh one more tip always apply the chemical from the bottom upwards otherwise if applied from top where it runs down can leave run marks that come cleaner where chemical has burnt in and these can be difficult to remove.

I've powerwashed a few cladding jobs. I personally find it a lot faster than wfp. You d'ont even need much pressure at times..
