For those of you with transporters, with either back door type, have you found any positive or negative reasons for choosing one over the other, and are they a good alternative to a trafic/vivaro type van for WFP

tailgates keep you dry and hose pulls out freely as theres no doors to get caught on
-
I have a tail gate and have no regrets if you have a fixed hose reel its easier as the door is out of the way, also as has been said it keeps you dry in a shower.
-
I'd thought of the hose not getting caught, but I like the little dry spot ;D

Tailgate. Much easier access.

Tailgate

I haven't had time to go windsurfing since my 2nd child was born, although I still have all the kit.

Now the question is long or short wheelbase ;)
-
Got to be SWB for manoeuvring.
-
how much longer is the LWB, I know the trafic is only 0.4m which doesn't seem much, and will the poles fit in a SWB OK?

I have a 24ft fibreglass gardiner pole with gooseneck and it only just fits in my lwb it does have a bulkhead though.
