  I am    looking for an  accountant in the Midlothian/Edinburgh area, any good ones out there.

dont know if you have a eura audit near you but if you do avoid at all cost.
i posted on here befor about them one bit of advice keep evrything your accountant sends
you do not bin anything it may come in handy

get in touch with your local tax office and ask about a self assessment workshop. they last about 3hrs and as long as you aren't to big, you will be suprised at how easy it is to do it yourself. :D

i live in north wales, but use an accountant in scotland, all done through the post and on phone, seems good, if you need ill give you details.

Mine was one through self assesment but someone else did it for me, the trick is knowing what can go through and what cant, e.g. I put through 10% of my water, elect, and heating bills for the year as business use. So it is handy to get someone who knows what they are doing as well. As far as I am aware you can send all your stuff away and they can do it for you, but I wouldn't have that much faith in the tax man  :-\
