Title: No one warned me about.....
Post by: daysdeepclean on March 11, 2009, 02:06:12 pm
Pins, dress makers feckin pins. On my first job, pre vac etc and picked up a lot of pins. As I got to work I noticed that one of them was stuck right in my solution hose. Looks like I'll have to spend my £150 earnings buyin a new bloody solution hose!

...or the construction nails/staples sticking out of upholstery which you catch your hands on.

Or...more deadly...

..needles attached to the underside of bannister rails in tower blocks

needles down the sides of sofas.

As the hole's only 5 ft away from one end, are they easy enough to chop off and reconnect! ???

Its high pressure, high temperature so it would need a really good job.

I was in Pirtek the other week and there was a sigh on the wall stating their policy. They will not re-end pressure hosing due to H&S.

Someone else may though - but do make sure its a professional job and fit for purpose.
Imagine a hose bursting and a young kid getting the force.

I wouldn't have the confidence, "needles" to say wasn't thinking of doing it myself, I thought perhaps Hydramaster might be equipt to do it! If I have to buy another then so be it....

Some hoses are concected to the fittings using a barb and a jubilee clip. If you have this type you could easily remove a length. If it is molded then you could try going to a hose specialits. They may be able to attatch a suitable threaded fiting. Make sure the thread is the same one as you quick conector.
