Cleaned a just built conservatory roof today using a soft bristle brush on a pole, jiff & soapy liquid, which i squeeged off after.Still noticed a chalky spatterd residue down 2 panels. Its a stone building with a heating outlet just above lead flashing which has been pointed with clear sealant adjoining the glass roof .
Any ideas what this could be and how to remove it.

Could be the lead flashing, esp if its new. Needs some pressure and applicator with a pad on it.

Thought it could be that, but the other 6 panels came up spotless.

yes , it's a shame that most modern leadwork isn't pattonised, like all the good old stuff used to be...

i had the same problem with a commercial job recently another firm were working nearby and they came over and said the best thing to use is NORSCALE its an ORGANIC PROTEIN REMOVER available at specialist cleaning stockists, so i got me some! and although it is very corrosive to skin and pavement it got rid of those pesky white streaks!! use gloves and wipe on scraper off...hope this helps!
