Title: red wine on wool
Post by: Ryan Smyth on March 05, 2009, 05:44:52 pm
I know this is a long shot but is there any chance of getting red wine out of an oatmeal coloured 100% wool carpet?

just done one of them.all down stairs and in the hall.  MS agitate with sebo, let dwell then extract with cold water, all came out on a 2 year old carpet, but he thinks it was treated by the manufacturers. so maybe thats why it all come out, also he white wined immediately after it was done.
good luck skipper

As long as the client has not had a go, yes, a chance
How old is the stain?
The last couple of spillages i have been called to i got them out with just a rinse with Oneclean, but they were regular custys who knew to leave well alone, and to call me ASAP.

The problem is everyone seems to have different ways to tackle red wine.
I usually use a combination of Ammonia, Acitic acid and rinse with oneclean.

Good luck

Altec Red Wine Remover is brill.

It smells a bit bleachy as its probably a mild peroxide, but boy does it work, (usually).
