I think this is a tax if ever I saw one.
I would love to grab hold of Mr Livingstone by his neck and ask him how am I suposed to carry all my equipment into Central London on the underground.
Cars maybe, but to tax someone £8.00 who need a vehicle to carry his equipment into central London is just robbery and un-fair.
In about 5 years the circumfrence (spell) area will widen to most of London and will cost about £20.00 to enter. :(
Remember you heard it here first!

hii there,
i totally understand your concerns to this, when i covered north london, my territory actually bordered the charging zone. and i some places you almost had to go into the charging zone to get to where you were going.
unfortunately the customer pays again, as all everyone will do i s hike their price to cover the charge.
regards

After 15 years of carpet cleaning in Central London it is beginning to feel like being a zebra in a cage full of lions :'(
Congestion charging - £8 per day
Parking £4.00 per hour - probably due to go up
Box junction cameras on every junction - £50
Bus lane cameras on every bus lane - £50
Speed cameras popping up everywhere - £50
Red light cameras on nearly every set - £50
Traffic wardens who've been to guerilla training camps to specifically learn how to prevent truck mount users from operating
Mind you the streets are paved with gold ;D
