Title: face wax spill

Help please, customer having face waxed, beauticean spilt face wax on carpet.Area about 1 foot square,the ladies husband has lifted the worst of it by using an iron and paper towels,but there is a sticky residue left.Dont know the make up of the wax so unsure what to use ,any ideas.Would really like to get this right.Due there tonight.

I would go in first on the solvent side. I prefer to use the alcohol type spotters for this as they are easily rinsed with water.

If you use traditional solvents, remember to remove a non-volatile solvent spotter's residue with a volatile solvent, otherwise you will have a resoiling ring.

Had a similar situation last year. Large spillage of leg wax.
Used Solvall and a wax remover that the beautician had.
Absolute nightmare, the wax was so sticky and there was so much of it.
Had to stop in the end because the carpet was rippling, so explained that I would need to return and try to remove the remaining residue when the carpet had settled down but I never heard from them so do not know whether it all came out.
You have a head start with some of it removed already so any solvent should do it but use sparingly.
