Title: yell.com the survey
Post by: derek west on March 02, 2009, 09:02:19 pm
always a big debate about whether yell is any good, but i must admit, the only time ive used yell is to look at my advert or check out others in my area.

so don't include searching for yourself or other carpet cleaners.
if you need a plumber electrician, florist or any other type of service or shop.
do you guys use yell.

be honest and we may get some idea as to how good yell is.

I just use it to see who else is advertising in my area ::)

We would never look on y .com and we just google stuff ??

I personally rarely use Yell.com, but I do get callers saying its from there that they found me, likewise still a few saying YP.

If I need a plumber or anything, I either google it or look in our local pages!

Can't say I've used YP, Yell, Thompsons, google for anything for over a decade. I tend to ask friends/people in the know who to use if they can't help themselves.

I must say that looking at my graphs today, about 70% of my work is from referals! I usually know who I need but refer to the local directory for nothing more than the phone number!
