Title: advice needed please

Hi Guys.... i have changed the pre- filters on my ro many times but this last time i can't get the rubber seal to sit in the vessel properly it's as if they are too big and as a result once tightend they pinch causing the vessel to leak badly
 has anyone had this happen? ...its just recently never had this before...any help gratefully received many thaks in advance

I think what happens is that as the rubber gets older it stretches slightly with the drag of the canister being unscrewed.  I've had it happen to me a few times.  If they really won't fit back in, the only solution is to replace them.  RO-man are good for this.

I used to have this happen. What I do is place the rubber rings in boiling water for ten minutes and they are very soft and regain their shape.

Same set of rubbers on my pre-filters and di-chamber for nearly 4 years now!

Defo stretched seal. Happened to me.
Replace or try the hot water treatment.

same thing happened to me a few weeks ago mine had froze up so i thought with the ice expanding they must have strecthed couldnt find anywhere to get them replaced so after a lot of thinking i cut them trimmed a little off and glued them back together good as new
