As previously posted I'm looking for a new van. Came across this and got me thinking, could this be ready made for WFP/Tank etc. Would need to remove the fridge off the top but that shouldn't be a problem.
Decent milage & price
What do ya think, could it be easily adapted or anyone know any potential problems?

If a deal was done say around 4k judging by what I've seen and for that kind of mileage it would be a pretty decent price. They do hold their price well.
I suppose you also would have the cost of removing the lump off the top and any bodywork to include.

you will get a ex AA van for that type of money ( even cheaper these days as they are not selling )
the T4's are great and do hold value very well
the top fridge unit will be easy to take off and just plate over the holes left, some sheet metal ( ali ) some skilafix and a few selftappers, 3 hours work at most, a monkey could do it

Dont fancy a yellow van, they used to say they are comming to take you away (Nut House) when a yellow van was seen round our way.

A good thing about the ex AA vans is theyve got seats in the back and a bulkhead behind them

I have a T4 that van looks Ok, my only problem with it would be the doors I have a single top hinged door and personally I think its the better option if you have fixed hose reels.

The bad thing is all the weight will then probably overload the rear axle if you used a large tank behind the seats and bulkhead.

Don't need any extra seats. Thought an upright tank in the middle compartment/side door and all the bits and bobs in the back. There's even a potential gap there to slide a couple of poles into.
Anyone know what the compartments are made out of?

I wouldn't bother with that mate, too much hassell trying to get rid of the fridge and internal wall etc. Its probablly a bargin for someone who need a fridge van but not for WFP.

I've got an ex fridge van. Bought it without the fridge unit. Walls and floor all fibreglassed. No need to protectakote it.
Only problem I had was I have a separate diesel tank in the rear for my wfp heater and any diesel spilt on the floor would turn it into a skating rink so I had to put some anti skid tread plates inside to be able to walk around safely as water and diesel don't mix..
Lovely and hot inside all year around once the on demand heater is up and running. It's like walking into an oven when the doors are opened up as the fibreglass makes a lovely insulation.

insulation board sandwiched between plywood and then coated in fibreglass
not that strong, you will still need to fix down a tank, easy enough to cut holes in to slide poles the complete length of the van
