most of my work is residential but i realy would like to get a few comercial ones (factory's, company's) if there is any left. but i realy dont know how to do that and wich way to go about it? could someone give an advise on how to try for some comercial work? thanx much

you probably wanna start by being able to spell it correctly ;)
its tough and i'm finding even tougher so i'd stick to domestic for the time being

Being extemely lucky helps, or having ,a competitive edge that no one else has got, but if you do get one don't tell anyone. I use the themoshine dirt sanitising system which sells itself and the commercial people are mad for it because no one else in my area has got one.

The best to start is to send out a least 50 letters by 2nd class post every week to local companies, (you can get their addresses from Yellow Pages) it not very expensive.
You should get at least 1 phone call every month.
Your spelling should be correct, if you type it up on a word document, you can spell check it, before you print off the letter.
If you cannot compose a letter, you can have a copy of one that I use, you just need to add your details to it.

That is rite. If ewe spell cheque in microsoft word bee fore ewe send yore letter, ewe can bee shore that ewe will present yore company in the best light.
Witch, after all, is watt ewe want to port tray as ewe do knot want to appear as if ewe are a low I.Q. member of the British Gnash Null Party.

malc its in poor taste to belittle others for bad spelling and poor iq
as a inarticulate person myself i would let it go and would certainly not generalize that
to be a member of one party would make you thick
ie i would not say you are a d if you supported a different team or had another faith.

Do you think its best to send it to a particular person, ie get a contact name, or just send to "the facilities manager" or something?
-
I always send it out addressed to "The Manager in charge of Window Cleaning"

I'm not belittling anyone's spelling kenaltobelli - I was pointing out that a spell-checker will not do the job for you completely. If you look carefully all the words I have used are spelled correctly but are different versions of the appropriate word.
For example: "Eye knead two think things threw" instead of "I need to think things through"
Are you a member of the British National Party? You seem quite defensive of it. Perhaps you could kindly explain it's policies and how they would help.

Good advice IMO, but by smaller firms/companies I ring to try and get an appointment. Success rate is 50/50. In other words I get as many "yes's" from letters as from eye to eye contact. Don't have to worry about spelling ,thank god, the letters are in German and my wife writes them!!! ::)
