Title: Idiots guide to COSHH - please help

Hi again,
This is for my benefit, I'm not implying that anyone else is as dizzy as me (doh!) ???
Can someone explain to me in idiot terms what COSHH is all about and what I need to do.
I'm starting out on my own after working for my sister-in-law for the last few years. I have NEVER heard this mentioned by her, even when I asked for info about starting up.

Hi there. Ive posted a link to the HSE site. In lamens terms though coshh is 'the control of substances hazardous to health'. The basics are insuring that you are safely handling chemicals and using chemicals in a proper manner, and storing and transporting them safely aswell. Also ensuring you use the correct personal protctive equipment (ppe) and in some cases, the correct storage containers for chemicals
