How about 6 newly laid duck eggs?

A bunch of red grapes, actually grown in the north pennines.

Duck eggs are nice, a bit richer than a hens egg.

Many years ago when I was an Instructor for "L" motorcyclists, one I tutored was a Chineese lad.
On the last week I got a bag full of spare ribs.
Very nice too.

After a 6 zone alarm installation one of our lads got a full home brew kit including pans, a mash ton, temp probs, hydrometer and a stack of barrels, all the tackle any homebrewer could ever want including a load books on how to make beer and larger. He had half of his van full, he was so pleased he was grinning from ear to ear.
Unfortunately the poor ladys husband has passed away and she wanted rid.

I sent her a £200.00 company cheque as I thought she had been a little too generous.
His tip to me was a bottle of his first brew, it tasted like p***! ;D although he's good now, very good.

Bottoms Up!
Matt

Got an painting from a local painter for cleaning her lounge and hall carpet.

I noticed it straight away when I entered the house, asked her where she got it from and she said she'd painted it and it was going into an exhibition the next week, price tag of £70, I offered to do her carpet in exchange for the picture.

I like it and it's on the wall in the lounge.  Might be worth thousands in a few years................or maybe not.

Best one i got was a polish lad who left a rental and done a bunk, the agent and landlrd said just to leave what was on the inventory, I ended up with 3 flat screed LCD TVs 34", 2 DAB digi radios, and 200 sheets of raw perspex. I confirmed all ok to take with LL and agent, so waved my cleaning fee, got £1000 for the perspex 2 Tvs and one DAB radio. I sold the perspex back to the company they polish guy worked for he had been skimming it from them and they got it back at 1/2 retail price.

Also, got this guy who kept phone me and saying to go get hen eggs from him. 24 eggs twice a week. In exchange he had 2 rental flats he wanted carpets cleaned free every 6 months. i worked a deal with the local shop and was getting £1 per case for eggs (£240) per year.

That was ok eh?

Alex

Some people prefer bartering to shelling out and £240 isn't eggactly chicken feed.
