Title: website query
Post by: henryroberts on February 25, 2009, 08:51:10 pm
looking at a website at present by a company that has done one for a set of scrimmers in my town.

my query is Ive looked at their site at least half a dozen times and its always on page 3, I do like his site and the charge that the web company makes but can this company improve the site to get it further up the listings as I would not google through 3 pages of listings to find a service I was looking for...so basically how does it work ,can you be guaranteed to always be on page 1...thanks in advance

This one?
http://www.dewsburywindowcleaning.co.uk

There is ZERO search engine optimisation on that site,..
It looks good,.. but there's no point having something that looks good if no one is going to see it!!

Found it - http://www.dewsburywindowcleaning.co.uk

Seems to me (and I'm no expert) this site is not optimised at all. Perhaps they havent had it long and the company is still working on it.  If theve had the site a while a wouldn't bother with the comapnay that did it. See Nathanael Jones or Windowashers I understand both will provide you with a very good optamised website at a very reasonable price.

There are no meta tags,.. no on page keywords, no H1 tags,... all the things that let Google know what the site is about and help it to rank higher. Its not something I'd expect from a pro designed website.

Well considering no meta tags etc as others have pointed out I think the site has done rather well. Depending upon search term used Google returns around 9-10,000 results and it's on page 3.

If it was optimised correctly I see no reason why it would not be on page 1.

Is that true established for over 120 years?
