I'm now charging double the price for the insides that i charge for the outside windows. I rekon it takes so long messin about movin peoples junk, bein extra careful, chattin to the custy etc it needs to be at least double, why lose money and waste time doin it for less
Only if you have plenty of work that is, if you got plenty of time on ya hands maybe its not worth risking losing the business....
Comments on what any of you guys charge,,,or how you explain your prices to customers....
Thanks
Tim

same inside as outside probably takes the same time, but im sure some will boast they charge more
-
in and out 2.5x
-
I've always charged 1.5 times, ie £10 for out £15 for in.
As I work WFP, insides are slower to do for me.
Though there is an office block I do the insides of. Very useful when it rains
-
I try and get them to buy microfibres, sometimes I even give them a cheap m/f , otherwise if I can't put them off, I charge what I can, normally 1.5x or 2 x .

you cant be serious average 3 bed 10 outside, 20 inside 30 total, i dont think youd be asked again
would make an interesting poll

read your earlier post you were proved right ;D ;D ;D
Isn't that the idea? I hate insides.
-
yes wise words, good job i only do one ;D ;D ;D
would start a poll but dont know how to go it, i bet they would go up tp 3 times ;D
-
I normally charge the same inside as out, sometimes an extra €5 for insides,. but never a huge increase unless they are manky dirty, or the custies are smokers. Insides take longer without a doubt,.. but most of my work is spread out, so the time saved driving to the next house and getting out the gear evens out the hourly earnings for me.

Some jobs I charge more.
All depends on the size of pains.
I have one which has those old metal frames. Must be ten + to a window.
Thank goodness for wfp on the outside. Id be b'dy nackered if I had to do it trad. Takes 2 1/2 hours wfp. 3 hours trad inside.
Inside doors thats another thing. Always check inside now before quoting. How many of us have forgotten to add internal glass doors....especialy when first starting out.

TIME AND A HALF.

I always charge the same price for insides as i charge for outsides, the reason being the customer is more likely to get the whole job done on a more regular basis rather than leaving it to maybe once a year or longer.
You also get to bond more with the customer when you have crossed the threshold and treated their house with respect and left the windows sparkling than you do with an outsides only.
I reckon 2/3rds of my domestic jobs are inside/outs and were priced accordingly at the outset.
If i was to charge double for the insides i would be out in the cold most of the time.

Totally agree on this quote, this is exactly how we operate as well ;D

Not being a cleaner myself, I would love to know how you do insides - surely you can't WFP cause of the water and I would think that most of the people using WFP would not want to do trad on the inside....how do you clean the insides and do you think that a new vacuum style pole woulod be beneficial for insides?

I dont really have a problem with cleaning insides, actually I think it takes about the same or quicker for me. If you are having a problem with loads of clutter in your customers homes, just explain that to spend time moving it would me you would have to charge more and would prefer the window are cleared for you, as you also dont want to break anything.
I have seen some people with this sort of thing in the terms and conditions.
-
Its definitly the clutter that makes it a bind. I charge one and a half times for insides but I am not that keen really.
I have had some real problem houses to do in the past.
-
I charge the price for the outside + 50 % but if they smoke its double.
I never get a problem with this, inside and out is a major part of my business.
-
No it was a genuine question.

Charge what u can. The more the better for you, unless u r a charity

Propulsion suction machine - 25 L clean water - 12 L dirty water
What happens to the other 13 litres of dirty water?
Either down your sleeve or over the walls and floor.
