had the worst job ever today, non stop 9am till 6pm (dark) two of us. still not fully swilled either so need to go back. i under charged too. the court was thick moss, and the flat surface cleaner was struggling so turbo was used mostly leaving it looking patchy, then on the other side we used flat surface cleaner but then it took ages. we then swilled it down and did still not finish. im absolutely shattered and cheesed off.
how much are you guys charging for tennis court cleans per metre? and do you charge more for bigger mossed up courts.? do you charge them more if there is two people? i would have died on my own?
think the whole court measured around 600 odd sq metres, jesus!! :'( :'(

Hi
Drive surgeon- i use a moss killer prior to cleaning heavily infested paths-etc, i leave this to dwell for a few days- the weather has to be dry and then clean with fsc or turbo -i charge £3.50 - £4.00per sqm if chemical needs to be applied.
Care has to be taken with surrounding plant life etc and tarmac has the tendency to break up under too much pressure- so i usually take this line with most tarmac surfaces and explain this to the custy prior to clean.

so you would charge 2.50 to 3.00 a sq metre on a 600 or more sq metre job? that sounds a lot! custies would not pay that by me. i thought £1.50 a sq metre would be enough? what you other guys think>

it would of helped if you had lowered the bar on the whirlaway then it really does dig in and move the moss, but you do have to be careful that the bar doesnt hit anything if floor uneven etc.
-
that would be 2 grand or more bill for a tennis court? :o
i thought one guy on here said he charges 500 quid for a court? thats less than £1.00 a sq metre? this was a domestic custie tennis court not commercial so its not easy.
should my prices change from commercial to domestic or stick with the same per metre? ??? ::)

trev i think the bar is as low as the bottom of the stainles steel, the brush skirt hangs below this. unless my nozzles are wrong like drivewasher says, as i got whirlaway from usa. :o ???

I use only turbo nozzle on tarmac courts and charge £250 per court, can do 2 in a day no problem.

DS you really need a pressure gauge to see how your machine is performing and to monitor wear on your nozzles

andy? 2 tennis courts in a day? £250 thats cheap. were talking over 600 sq metres here? thats less than 50p a sq metre? i charged £300 on a court a while ago and thought that was too cheap. :o especially if it is a full court clean rather than just mossy patches.

£500 a day is not cheap in my opinion... I'm well happy with that.
That is for full clean.
