There goes another credit crunch special £12 a week, I felt sorry for the staff, over the last few weeks they had to get approval just to use a windy, and every day there were less and less shoes on the shelves. When I pointed this out they said "We've got new lines coming in next week" "Yeah right" I thought.
However crap the weather or rude a customer might be, at least we're all our own boss.
I've had a few commercial shops go. Really annoying, but shows the value of having a varied portfolio of work.

It might be £48 a quid a month to me, to them it's their whole living.
I don't think I could work under someone else's control again.

yeah good point mate - we feel bad if we lose jobs but its only a % of what we earn, to someone who is employed, when they lose their job - they lose 100% of their income.
