Morning guys/gals i have just done a little job for a lawyer who has suggested i fill in the form on www.moneyclaim.gov.uk as she says its a better way(cheaper) than going via a solicitor to get your money from a company who just aint playing ball.In my case to the tune of £5800 which belive me is enough to stop me in my tracks.Have any of you had any dealings with this site and if so can you offer some advice.Much appreciated Alan Turner(swindon)

Have used this very succesfully for getting money that is due.
Only ever had one problem with a company in Cheltenham who finally had the bailiffs sent round to him but refused to acknowledge that it was him who answered the door and we could not track down his home address - you win some you lose some!!!

I have tried this way over an £13500 debt. It's too long. I started my claim lasy may, it's now been allocated to the fast track between July & August. 15 MONTHS
I have used the other option issuing a winding up order, which you can get a form the insolvency website. In effect you are applying to make the company or person bankrupt
The intial form is free and worked for me within a couple of days. Just fill in and send to the B*****D.
Another problem I think with Moneyclaim is it forgets your password, and the information you put in has to be repeated or you cannot use certain grammer.
If you want you money quick I would steer clear of Moneyclaim, if someone knows all the cons with it, they can really drag it out. Frustrating you no end

I have used moneyclaim a few times. One was for £60 and another was for £30, both paid up with the admin charges as soon as that landed on their door steps.
Now a main line Ford dealership is proving harder to crack. Claiming some £400 for pieces stolen off my transit whilst it was in their possession (break down). It seems they are running under numerous trading names which is the stumbling block as the claim has to go against just one name >:(

Yes there is a cost. Starts at £30 (I think) per claim but can increase depending on who much is claimed. I'm finding with this Ford dealership lot that I'm having to pay a bit more as each stagen is reached. We're now onto the bailiff stage. The £400 I'm after started off at £300 but the costs involved get added onto the final bill.

I have used moneyclaim, think it costs about 50 notes, although i never got my money from the company (just disappeared) its pretty easy to navigate.

The court fee varies depending on the size of the claim, between 30 and 50 i think. Obviously it gets added on the amount owed by the defendant.
Don't forget you can also add interest at "base rate plus eight", the website explains how to do it.

I have used it before. The customer couldn't get the money to me quick enough once they received the letter from the courts.
Just last night I started two further claims. One for £1200 that cost £70 in fees. The other was for £ 200 that cost £25. I hope they cough up as quick as the last one did. I have a feeling that I won't see a penny though. :(

Just a quick update.
One of the claims started by myself on Suday night coughed up today. It was only a couple of hundred. But it's better in my bank than some one elses. Paid the fees too. Just one to go that was also started on Sunday and I will be happy.
If I owed money and received a letter from the courts saying proceedings have started to recover it, this would spur me into action quicker than a soliciter's letter.
