Post by: jeff1966 on February 20, 2009, 04:18:45 pm
Could anyone tell the correct dilution rate for Blitz,on the container it says 1 scoop or 2 oz per gallon of hot water for pump-up sprayer. For a Hydraforce type sprayer mix 5 scoops per 5 quarte container.I use a electric spraymate with 5ltr container just called Hydramaster and lady couldn't tell me.

The Hydroforce sprayer's container is also about 5 Litre, so use 5 scoops as I do.

You only need to mix 1 scoop in a 5 litre container ie electric sprayer. 1 gallon is approximately 5 litres.

Sorry, yes Dereks correct, I was referring to using the Hydroforce that dilutes further as you use it.

A US gallon is only 3.785 litres. An imperial gallon is 4.54litres.

A 5 litre fill is approx 1/3rd more than a US gallon fill.

1/3rd more powder is therefore 1 and 1/3 scoops

So, for a 5 litre fill, you need one and a third scoops of powder.

These figures are approximate for working practicality.

Safe and happy measuring :)
Ken
