Title: Starbucks coffee shop and clean society
Post by: SherwoodCleaningSe on February 20, 2009, 03:49:49 pm
Just got an email from the clean society asking me to price up all the starbucks in my  area with a 17 page list of starbucks nationwide. Anyone else had the same, the one near me doesn't have any windows.

Simon.

Hi,

Is it someone new that has started up cleaning, & is going to try & get a contract with Starbucks, & they don`t really know what to price it up at, so they have contacted you with the intention of getting a proffesional qoute, & then undercut slightly?

This reminds me of that bloke of Fonejacker, when he was getting qoutes.

Ian.

Tbh I don't really have a clue who the clean society are. The tone of the email was a little underhanded, "if you work for them all ready just send you quote to us but don't tell them".  Also got the email yesterday and they want all quotes by monday.  Sounds like a large company to me but can't be sure.

the link above is definately them
Its the same colour and writing and telephone code
I have seen on a van round here.
As I said never seen them working anywhere just
driving through Hockley pretty regular.
I don't do business like that I would want some kind of
personal contact first before I set off quoting jobs.
Probably why I don't do loads of commercial  ::)

If they have a van local then they obviously can do the work them selves which kind of makes me think that they just want me to price up for them and then they'll go in at those prices with their own man.  Ckeeky so & so's.

Don't know if this any help, but through another venture I can get access to most company details.
From what I have found out they have two addresses one in London other East Sussex, since 2006, if you need further info like contact name drop me an email.

OK They want you to quote but on their website they say this:

Our young, hard-working, smart, uniformed teams are all direct employees of the company and are hand-picked, vetted and trained by members of our management team.

I bet you dont fit that description esp the young smart bit ;D or the employed bit ;D

They are using you to do the quoting for them
