Mike, at around £70 the Gangster is a class pole; I used it today (with two sections of the Zensorflex) to get to around 35 foot; easy; no problems.

Have you got a link to the other pole?

You need to check the elastic rating, the higher the number the stronger the pole will be and probably stiffer too. Elastic rating of 20 is one of the strongest i believe.

There are dozens of poles out there that may be better value for money, buy both and do a comparison for us  ;)

What's the weight & elastic rating of the Grandslam pole? It is carbon fibre right?

I cracked a section on my pole today,.. can't find a replacement section in Ireland, so its time to buy a new one!!

not sure if its cf but the elasticicity is up to 16 on the grandeslam

the gangster is between
- Elastic rating: 6–18.
- Weight: approximately 1100g

There's a similar pole on ebay, but its 2kg,.. thats why i'd be suspicious of the grandeslam at that price! Let us know your verdict if you do get one tho!
