Hi

Depends how carbonated it is?

If it is very badly carbonated the you will need Mr Muscle or Universal Oven cleaner, apply, heat it up gently and leave for at least 20 mins (longer if possible)

You can also use a caustic gel (selden 20 I think)

Hi Martin,
Just want to confirm what I should do with the Mr Muscle oven cleaner.
Should I turn the rings on to 1st setting to heat it gently?, and what should I use to remove it?, cloth or scourer.

Hi

As with all chemicals, let it do it's work.

This means you have to leave it on enough time to do it's work.

If I am cleaning an EOT, i will spray on either over & hob and leave for about an hour, only warm on a gentle heat, this will loosen the carbon and make it easier to clean.

I usually use a scourer, but don't rub really hard otherwise you will damage what you are working on and most PL ins don't cover for this.

Ive used Hob brite, which I got from wilkinsons.

Hi Teresa,

I found their oven cleaner £0.97 per bottle quite good too.... They sell it in Wilko I believe!

I've not tried their other stuff!
