Post by: R W C on February 16, 2009, 02:32:32 pm
Just done my 1st ever school clean, im going to take the invoice in next Tuesday when they reopen, what are they like for paying and what are there usual methods of payment,

Also got to say that the gardners flocked brush came into its own today and made things a breeze, school hadnt been done in 4 years with birds mess on a lot of windows but the flocked soon sorted this out.

The schools I clean pay me personally. Normally a cheque with school name on and sometimes cash from their petty cash. Everything has to be agreed with the bursers/governers though before proceeding.

If you invoice the school direct - I'd post it now - they often pay within a few days.

If you have an order number and invoice address from "County Hall" (local authority treasurer's office) then it will take a month, typically.

You really should be finding this out at point of quote and detailing such on your written job confirmation.
