Title: static tank - stupid question??

im getting a static setup and buying cheap ibcs from ebay , just wondering will i have to drill a hole in the side of it for the hose to go thorugh after ro and di or does it go straight in the hole at the top?? ??? (my 500ltr van mount tank has a specific hole for hose in the side)
