Title: PLYLINING AROUND SPEAKERS
Post by: Andrew44 on February 14, 2009, 03:39:36 pm
When you get a van plylined do the fitters ensure any speakers at sides are left clear and plyarond them?

I ahve two back speakers right in corner and assume the fitters will ply around then and not take the easy option and ply over??

What has your experience been on this?

if they do it professionally, they will have a round jig and will router a series of curved lines where the speakers are, they might have a jig with a series of holes in in a circle shape, then just drill a series of holes

when i used to line vans for the local council, the guys with speakers in the rear would get a series of holes in a 9 " circle

the circular lines or holes both look good, i prefere the routered option myself though

Cheers guys.  I'll make sure they drill the holes.
