are you on a mtr with water fed pole
-
yes and your next question is????????? how much, you wont even notice one van. generaly water on a meter costs £1 per 1000ltr. one person on a wfp might use bettween 400-600 ltr in a full 8 hour day, some water is wasted in the purification process as im sure you know so it would be fair to say it will cost £1 per day. Given how much more you can earn on wfp its not worth worrying about.

its about £3.35 for 1,000 ;D

0.899 per cubic meter.

I'm on a meter my bill anually is just over £400 which includes everything. Not as bad as I thought. However I'm still going to invest in a rain water collection tank to bring bill down by about 20%.

I am on a water meter, and you pay extra as they charge me more waste water charge. They seem to work the waste out by a % of of water used. so even though it's not all waste i pay alot more waste charge than i should.

Yeah I have a meter and wfp, but most of my water comes from rain water collection. Okay I do top up the tank with hose as and when but haven't noticed any increase really in bills.
Gutter and spouting feed into one IBC container. RO and booster pump from there into second pure IBC. Then I just draw it off into 25ltr drums and stack it in the van. That is until I sort a van mouted tank that I can fill from the pure IBC.
Bear in mind I only really use about 250ltrs a day as only do tops with pole. Bottoms traditional. Oh and of course I'm fairly new so only have two weeks worth of work so far.
I'm happy with the set up. Built a shed around the IBC's which I call 'The Water Shed' logically. Nothing to do with after nine oclock. The RO runs on a timer, on for 45mins off for 15mins as the pumps get really hot. Quality doesn't suffer, still producing 0-2ppm even running like that.
Go on, someone tell me I'm mad and the membranes will crap out doing it like that, or something. Will say I have noticed that I have to change the first prefilter more often when catching rain water. Obviously due to the crap on my roof and gutters.
