I cleaned a carpet with Vanish in it and although I'd put de-foam in the waste tank, it foamed up real bad. My motors were running but I'd completely lost suction ??? ??? ???. I switched the machine off, sorted the foam out and the machine worked perfectly after that... Weird :o :o :o

Spray defoamer directly onto the vanish and brush in or you will never get rid of it and it will re-soil very quickly ,then rinse thougherly.

As Mark says, spray defoamer directly onto it and rinse. You'll have to repeat it a few times but this is the only thing that has truly worked for me. Use cold water too.
