Title: Anyone got a paypal button on their website?
Post by: Klean07 on February 10, 2009, 05:09:22 pm
I have just signed up with paypal with the intention of putting a button on my website for my custies to pay me. Does anyone know which option I should take as I'm not selling any products etc.
Any help advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Use Nochex (www.nochex.co.uk) instead of paypal... It's cheaper and looks more professional. Customers don't need to sign up to it they can just pay using their credit or debit card.

Here is an example on my site: www.southerncleaningservices.co.uk/payments

customers can pay without signing up to paypal, and paypal has the advantage of being the most recognised name and believe me that does help.

paypal is owned ( same company ) as ebay, so your customers are likely to have a paypal account if they use ebay

i have both though

paypal and nochex

paypal gets used alot more than nochex

I presume you have to wait for them to log-on before the transaction can be confirmed and proceed though Matt?

I have it on my site. I have about half a dozen who regularly pay on it. Seems to work well for what I get from it. Costs are always going to be an issue of course, but seeing as I would have to do a 25 mile round trip to collect about half my round, then I will live with it!  ;D

Would you like a list of instructions? I am sure I wrote it all down for someone, if I can find it I will email it to you, if you want it?

Yes, if it was half my round wanting to pay on paypal, then it wouldn't be worth it. But as I have just a few customers who like to pay me this way, then I am happy to give them the option.

if you collect paypal is worth the charge, will save you loads of time, if you dont collect it means you will get your payments quicker.

If you request email address at time of quoting if they want to pay online then you just send a money request once you have cleaned.

I have quite a few customers paying online these days
