Title: Snow again
Post by: clinton on February 08, 2009, 05:12:50 pm
Just staretd to snow again here in cheshire ::)

Thankfull got some decent jobs booked in for next week mostly repeats and recs, and a few new jobs otherwise if it wasnt for my repeats and recs it would have been a quiet week as am sure the weather puts people from ringing to book ???

In my jobs last week had to take the machine inside for the jobs as the snow was getting in through the frontdoor :o

Not bad at all Derek but if it's Harrogate your going to could be totally different.
Just a few wisps in the wind here at the moment.
Just don't go clubbing it in Chapeltown.

Hasn't been a pub for years now although I used to go there.

6 miles away in Batley. Rupees per sq m here.
Go out in Leeds a lot 'cos there's trains running all night at w/e and I live about 3/4 of a mile from station.

Used to go to Fordde Greene regularly in the good old days when 4 of us would take it in turns to drink and drive for the night.
Also another good one was Barcelona at Kirkstall.
That was the sister club to the brilliant Amsterdam bar in Huddersfield.

i know what you mean dk but try as i might i live on a hill and i have NOT been able to get off my drive for most of this week, did a whole days work wednesday and 2 jobs thursday afternoon, that was it, i run a truck-mount and due to the weight issues and ice i just dare not take the chance of getting stuck. it's not been the main roads that are a problem, it's the side roads, they are an absolute skating rink,

Born and brought up in Huddersfield, I thought the Amsterdam was a gay bar is there something we should know here?

Dave R

You obviously never went there.
It was a bar run by gays but filled with skirt.
The car park was massive to accomodate coach parties of mostly females from literally miles away.
Used to go only midweek as it was only packed then.
At the w/e the walls were bulging with the number of people in there.
The women did the groping as they outnumbered men.
The entertainment and music was second to none.

In the town centre just further down the street from the Parish Church, It's called the Beast Market. Johnny owns(owned?)  the whole block including the Huddersfield Hotel and Rosemary lane Bistro

Used to go to Johnny's as well.

We're having a gang bang was the song I think.
Used to sing it at the end of the night with all the staff stood on the bar in drag.
Sounds wierd but it was a fantastic night out full of tash.

I've just spoken to a mate of mine, he said he stopped going 'cos he was never quite sure all the women were women if you know what I mean ;D
