Got a bedroom carpet to clean 80 / 20 wool cream coloured carpet in a farm house they had some damp on the wall behind the wardrobe wardrobe got wet and the varnished leached down the wardrobe and stained the carpet any ideas. I dont think its do able its not crucial to them as the wardrobe is goin back over it but would be nice to remove it

Mould/mildew stains are virtually impossible to remove. You can kill the mould but it will still be visible in most cases. Occasional success though with H2O2
Unless it's a 100% polypropylene pile carpet. You can use perhaps a 50/50 mix of household bleach and water. Just enough to wet the pile, dwell a little then freshwater rinse, repeat as required. Very nasty stuff, DO NOT mix or rinse with other chems, gloves and mask etc.
Ventilate, disclaimer and great care.
SAFE and happy cleaning :)

I read this as being a wood dye/wood finish stain. With all of these types of stain they are mostly permanent BUT!you could try Prochems Red RX using the terry towel and hot iron method. Iam sure you will see an improvement. Its worth a try and you do have a chance to maybe learn from the experience. Best of luck.
Ps for mildew try Oxibrite its a lot safer than Bleach.

Don't you mean Solvex ?
-
No ROBERT. I do mean Red RX which is for leached out dye from timber.Solvex is for hardened varnish and paint etc.,Actually the original post is not 100% clear as to what it is. So it could be either.I see Ken read it as mildew.

sorry for being unclear its a mixture of mildew and wood varnish stain as the wall got damp water ran ont carpet and onto the wardrobe
