hey guys does this stuff work and is it feasible i have seen posts on here saying you have to use 10% dilution, seen other poists saying a whiskey glass in a 650 tank. if its 10% surely it would nt be worth it as its about 7 pound per ltr isnt it
thanks

i have found a small glass doesnt stop freezing but i do think it makes the cleaning better, and yes it would be un economical to put enough in tank to stop freezing it would cost you about £60 per 650 litre tank.

To make iso or methanol truley effective...sub 1% dilutions are a complete waste of time...
During the really cold weather we had with temps around -12 deg at night I trialled various mixes of methanol ranging from 1% to 20% (all mixes were in coke bottles of a litre).
I have also tried a 7.5% mix in my tank of 400 litres and the methanol evaporates and then I was left with frozen water on the glass.
So IMHO ....iso and methanol are great in enclosed systems but when out in the open air...pretty much a waste of time and money and as for some claiming it makes the windows shine better..I just cannot see how this works but I am open to hear about your experiances. :)
I am not a techie by any stretch of the imagination and my tests should be treated with that in mind
Cheers
Dave.

bring you equipment in over night then in the moeno=ing put in a litre or 2 of iso, the when you work it wont freeze in the hoses when the ground temp is cold.
iso aint that good over night tho.

i fond you can only work to minus 3 with it in water
