Quoting for a high level internal clean , ie a/c ducting, ledges, light fitting etc up to about 40ft max , looking to rent a guttervac / omnivac to do it. apart from rental cost plus man hours plus a bit more, anything i need to look out for ,think about etc pearls of wisdom required.

yeah read up on asbestos awareness. just incase!

Cleaning A/C ducting is a specialist job. The dust and residue inside the ducts can be very toxic. The offices where I worked used to get done twice a year and the blokes who did it came from a firm that specialised in it doing that and nothing else.

oh make sure your insurance actually covers you for this type of job, going on what the last poster has said.

Yeah it's just the tops , where the dust settles not inside them, cheers anyway

When you phone up to order the hire kit make sure to tell who you speak to that you will need both the internal filter and the filter bag.

i did this type of work about twenty years ago for my old man. so there was not gutter vacs etc so cant comment, we did it from ladders with backpack vacs. the only tips i can think of is cover whats below and wear masks as its minging work and the dust is usually about at least 1/4 inch thick, and it was always done night shift because of the mess
