Hi to everyone on the forums.
i'm thinking of starting a window cleaning round. i got made redundant on the 20th of december and i'm struggling to find work im a joiner and the building trade is pretty much none existent at the minute. The reason why i'm thinking of window cleaning is because i was fixing a leak on my grandfather's roof about a week ago and i over heard my grandfather talking to the neighbours window cleaner. My grandfather asked the window cleaner if he had a space on his round to clean his windows and the window cleaner replied that he was still too busy to fit any more customers in.
i gotta admit that i was a bit shocked he was turning work down but fair play to him he must be doin really well. That's when i realised that there must be a huge market for this kind of business.
I would really appreciate any advice on what basic tools and chemicals i would need to start up? money is really tight for me and my family at the minute. I have a basic idea of what i need but dont want to spend money that i dont really have on tools i might not need to start with.
I've seen on the internet full window cleaning kits by Ettore and Unger but wasn't sure if some of the item's in the kits i wouldn't use or could be bought better or cheaper separately. Any advice would be really appreciated
