Title: What do you think
Post by: AJ on February 02, 2009, 04:13:12 pm
www.uk-cleaner.co.uk

A few things to iron out yet, get the 'add company' form working for 1.

charging £50 a year for 1st listing & £20 for every other one you want. Should put off the fly-by-nights.

look at 'commercial windows' 'london' for an idea of how lisiting will look.

Going to get the ball rolling by doing free listing for CIU members.

like I say, its not ready yet but would be interested in your thoughts.

Cheers
Alan

its a good idea, i was thinking of someting similar thats why i bought the domain trusted window cleaners but i got bad feedback about it. I think there should be forums for wc already doing the job and you have to show your public liability before viewing topics.

Its mainly about links and the cost of other similar sites.
I will put 3 or 4 one way links in (you don't have to link back).
We subscribe to a few of these site and they're prices are mental. YELL.com, ufindus, city-visitor etc and they all want £300+ per year.
Be nice to have an affordable one.

This offer is open to the management of Express Cleaning too. (small add on every main page?)

in my view its cheap advertising.

I don't think this thread will stay on here.  The forum owner runs a paid directory called Spick and Span and yours could be seen to be in direct competition to it.

Ah! the flaw in my plan.

I don't want to be a wet blanket about this but thought I would mentionm it before you put too much work in.
There is another forum that is independent where you might be able to do it but I'm not allowed to say its name on here.  That's how strict the owner is.  Pity really as I feel that the restrictions detract from the forum but it's Mike's forum and it has to be run by his rules.
