Just bled mine of water. The last freeze shattered one of my filter housings and knackered my membranes. :(
Just as well they were 18 months old or I would have been miffed

You will do a lot of damage to the membrane if you have drained the water off.You cannot let them dry out. If they dry out the holes get bigger so your tds grows.

I know it was my big mistake with my first ro membrane, it only lasted 17 months.

My latest one is 21 months old and still on 0tds.

Van roof and sides insulated with an electric frost stat heater in there for good measure.
RO in shed insulated roof with added tarpaulin on top too, and for good measure parafin heater in there too.

Mine shattered a month ago so my new one is insulated with the padding that you put around water tanks. To do the whole water tank and ro unit it only cost £13, oh and I had some left over which I have fitted to the walls of the shed.
That should do it
