Title: URGENT
Post by: P @ F on January 31, 2009, 08:02:41 pm
Hi guys , have any of you got a stream box from vari tech ?
Just got one and i forgot the instruction leaflet , the system runs up and hold the pressure but then i get dE coming up on the digital read out and i lose all pressure , what does dE mean and can it be changed ?

I have perfect flow with no cutting out up to the point where the hose reel begins    , as soon as the micro bore is connected i get the problem ?

I would hazard a guess that the Dead End cut off setting is set too low so it senses the increased resistance of microbore hose as the point to shut off the pump.

Dead end was my thought , but how do i change it ?
Do you know please Alex , what struck me as strange was the fact that the pressure switch on the pump was still wired , not by passed as with the vari stream in my other van ?

Please help , im desperate  :'(

I'm afraid I don't know as I've never used a digital varistream.  If you do a search, someone posted how to adjust the setting within the last 10 days - keywords might be dead end, varistream, digital.

Pressure switch shouldn't be connected.

Alright , panic over , sorted it , the pressure switch should be connected , the problem lied within calibration of unit , just held up and down buttons together for 3 seconds , CAL flashed up and i pressed the the up button to raise the level of pressure to 70 and pressed the 3rd button , it came up SET , pressure returned and all is good !

Thanks for input ,cheers chaps

If it's a varistream with a shurflow pump then the instructions say the pressure switch should not be connected. It's written in bold type on my instruction sheet. Glad you sussed out the settings though.
