its safer to wait for the cars to stop before trying to clean them ;D ;D

seriously though it can work out more proffitable if you can clean a number of cars at once so try approaching large firms with carparks and offer discounts to their employees for them to have their cars cleaned regularly whilst they are at work.

Some lads started a hand car wash up the road from where I live last year on a disused garage forecourt.  I thought it would be a flash in the pan but they seem to always be very busy, with 3-4 cars queuing up at a time....especially  'prestige' motors and police vehicles.

I think they charge from £5. Three lads attack each car with suds while one does the wheels. They then have some sort of pressure hose rigged up to rinse. I might give them a go one day but I've noticed that whilst sudsing, they dip in and out of the same bucket of (dirty/gritty) water, which makes me cringe.

I would consider using a mobile car wash, so long as they also did the detail work, not just a once over with a pressure washer.   I routinely spend over 6 hours washing/waxing/detailing my car. How much could you charge someone for doing that....
