Hi,
I am window cleaner at present and thinking about branching out into carpet cleaning.
A carpet cleaning stand caught my eye at The cleaning Show and I think it would make a good add-on. It was the Envirodri system - has anyone any knowledge/experience of this company/system? Is there a better system and if so why?
Thanks in advance,
Glen.

Hi glen
good system but you will need more than the Envirodri system to clean carpets

Extraction cleaning would be the way to go IMO, Other methods have there place in the market but they are more specialised, Using dry compound wont produce very good results an would be little use for domestic jobs, Pad systems are a topic of hot debate on this forum so a little scroll through the achives may bring up some interesting threads.
Again IMO pad systems are not the way to go if you are only to have one system, I find these low moisture methods are better suited to commercial maintenance work, some wont agree but I'm sure a majority will.
The Envirodri machine is quite popular as a pre-spray aggitation tool so well worth having.

Thanks for the replies. I would be cleaning mainly residential with some commercial. Could you possibly give me a definitive guide to what I actually do need to get set up?
Cheers,
Glen.

Glen,
Your best bet is to get yourself on a course, not only will you see everything your going to need but you will learn how to use it :)

Is the NCCA course the best one? Is this or any others held in Northern or the Republic of Ireland?

The envirodri system would be ideal for someone like yourself where no training has been had as you cannot damage or shrink carpets using this system but as already said it is only one small part of the equipment you would need to sucessfully clean carpets
