Transit. ;)
I wouldn't touch another Transit with a 10 foot barge-pole (well unless it wasn't mines and I was fitting a system in it) I had one that had done just over 100000 miles and the fuel pump needed replaced, £1200. After 18 months and less than 10,000 miles the same thing needed done again. £1200 is a bit much every 10,000 miles.

Spoke to my garage when I had new clutch put in, as mines a 52 plate trafic, I said its a known fault of this reg and he said the newer ones are worse and that youll start hearing a lot more people moaning about the newer ones soon when they start getting the problem of gear box and cluth

transit... reliable, been around, a long time..... parts cheaper and easier to get than most vans...easier to work on... wider than vivaros/traffic... and payload better than most similar sized vans....
i went through 1 whole year of looking for a van... and i would say 80% of every mechanic, salesman, or any other person who knows what they are on about.........
chose transit , head and shoulders above.
so i got one.... full 650 tank of water in the back... the transit does not even know its there.... good on fuel and power.
and i love it.
until the usual problems come, lol.... which they will.... new clutch, exhaust etc...... like any other vehicle.

Vivaro, quick, comfortable, great on fuel and looks the best
-
A VW Transporter T5 1.9 diesel 102PS engine. Real world testing has proved this to be the most economical van of its size on the planet. Any of the four payload versions would carry a 500 litre tank.

Yes Alex is right.
We have had ours for the past 5 years, and I cant fault this van, you pay a little more but in the long run is one of the best vans.
Bosh

You have to remember that for example with a 650ltr tank full up, your water weight will be 650 kgs.You have to include the frame, roof rack, ladders, driver, passenger etc.Its easy to be over the 900kg payload with a 650ltr tank.

Trafic/Vivaro every day of the week mate.
Quiet, smooth, fast, best looking. No probs on new ones.
10 million people can't be wrong. ;)

I have a trafic too.Pulls the chicks as good as a Porsche!
